KT at the IT4EST Replication Roadshow in Athens

The IT4EST Replication Roadshow took place on 20 May 2026 in Athens, Greece, bringing together project partners for a  day of presentations, knowledge exchange, collaboration, and field-based evaluation activities.

The roadshow was held at the Wyndham Grand Athens Hotel, where partners gathered for a productive series of sessions focused on aligning with the project’s objectives, presenting key technological developments, and preparing for the in-field activities scheduled for the second day.

Participants were introduced to the IT4EST project overview, the objectives of the Replication Roadshow, and the expected outcomes of this important event. These introductory sessions provided the context for the discussions, presentations, and practical evaluation activities that followed.

A key part of the programme was dedicated to presentations from IT4EST technology providers, who showcased innovative digital solutions designed to support forest management, wildfire prevention, and emergency response. The sessions highlighted the role of advanced technologies in strengthening operational readiness, improving coordination, and supporting more effective decision-making in complex environmental and emergency management scenarios.

As part of the technology presentations, Konnektable Technologies’ CEO, Dr. Angelos Liapis, presented the COncORDE platform — a state-of-the-art crisis management solution designed to support and enhance coordination and decision-making processes during small or large-scale crises and medical emergencies, at local, regional, and cross-border level. The presentation provided a valuable opportunity to demonstrate how COncORDE can improve situational awareness, enable real-time coordination, and deliver AI-driven decision support across the full spectrum of emergency response operations.

The platform is being further tested and enhanced in line with the requirements and objectives of the IT4EST project.

Complementing these operational capabilities,  COncORDE Cognos  serves as the advanced training and simulation layer of the COncORDE ecosystem. While COncORDE supports responders during real incidents, Cognos prepares them beforehand by providing immersive environments for emergency scenario simulation, risk assessment, and coordinated response planning.

Overall, the first day of the IT4EST Replication Roadshow created a strong foundation for collaboration, discussion, and innovation, paving the way for the field evaluation activities taking place on the second day.

Through initiatives such as the IT4EST Replication Roadshow, the project continues to advance the development and validation of practical, technology-driven solutions that contribute to more resilient forests, stronger Civil Protection capabilities, and safer communities.
