Attending the Search and Rescue Project Exploitation Event “Advances in Search and Rescue Operations” in Nicosia, Cyprus was an absolute honor and an incredible experience. The event brought together experts, first responders, and policy representatives to discuss the importance of collaboration and innovation in advancing search and rescue operations.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation by Dr. Angelos Liapis, CEO of Konnektable Technologies Ltd., who provided an insightful overview of the project and its expected impact. He also introduced the revolutionary crisis management platform, COncORDE 2.0, which has the potential to be a real game-changer in saving lives during emergency situations.
The project aims to enhance crisis response and make society more resilient. With the support of the ambassador and other partners like Ukemed Global, Pompiers de l’Urgence Internationale International Emergency Firefighters, Konnektable Technologies Ltd., and EPAYS, the team presented the lessons learned and technologies developed that facilitate the intervention of emergency services.
One of the most inspiring experiences shared at the event was the K9 team of the ESDP and their interventions, including their work during the earthquake in Turkey.
The event was a reminder that collaboration and innovation are crucial in advancing search and rescue operations and the importance of investing in new technologies that can help first responders save more lives.
