COP-PILOT Plenary in Valencia

Konnektable Technologies joined project partners in Valencia for a two-day COP-PILOT plenary that brought everyone around the same table to align, plan, and propel the work forward. It was a chance to confirm what we’re building together, how the pieces fit, and where we can accelerate.

A central theme throughout the meeting was cohesion across the platform. Partners compared notes on architecture and integration, ensuring that components developed in parallel will interoperate smoothly once they meet in production environments. Conversations focused on keeping interfaces clean, data flows robust, and the developer experience predictable, so that new capabilities can be added without introducing friction. The result is a shared, practical understanding of what “done” looks like not just on paper, but in a live system that stakeholders can rely on.

Pilots were another highlight. Teams walked through how real-world scenarios will demonstrate the project’s value, from the infrastructure that hosts services to the pathways data will follow and the outcomes we aim to show. Rather than treating pilots as isolated showcases, the discussion emphasized reusability and scalability: what we validate in one setting should meaningfully inform the others.

Measuring what matters was equally important. Partners revisited success criteria to make sure the indicators we track truly reflect user and stakeholder needs. By anchoring progress to credible, agreed-upon metrics, we can tell a clear story about performance, reliability, and usefulness. The group also refined how results will be presented prioritizing concise, evidence-based narratives over sprawling reports so that decision-makers get the signal without the noise.

Beyond the technical agenda, the plenary was about community. We discussed how to engage with external audiences, how to share updates in a timely and accessible way, and how to invite new contributors into the ecosystem. Open collaboration remains a core value of COP-PILOT, and the meeting underscored the importance of proactive communication celebrating milestones, being transparent about challenges, and inviting feedback that makes the work stronger.

As the project moves forward, we’ll keep sharing updates on milestones, demonstrations, and opportunities to get involved. The work is collaborative by design, and progress is best when it’s visible.

If you’re following COP-PILOT, expect steady, purposeful steps each one grounded in user needs, technical rigor, and a commitment to impact.
