ARCOE

Advancing Research Careers through Organizational Excellence

ARCOE is building a dynamic Virtual Talent Innovation Ecosystem Hub to transform HR practices, career development, and research collaboration across Europe. The initiative begins with a thorough organisational assessment—focusing on the Widera countries—to evaluate existing HR frameworks, career development systems, and their alignment with the European Research Charter.

Following this, a detailed gap analysis will pinpoint areas for improvement. ARCOE’s virtual hub will serve as a central platform for researchers, offering access to networking opportunities, tailored training programmes, and career development resources—with special emphasis on digital transformation, deep tech industries, and the Green Deal.

The project will also support 15 participating organisations in achieving the HR Excellence in Research (HRS4R) award by guiding them through best practices in recruitment and talent management.

To foster stronger connections between academia and industry, the hub will feature a Meet&Match system, promoting researcher mobility and collaboration beyond traditional boundaries.

Sustainability is a key priority: ARCOE will develop a long-term business plan to ensure the hub remains impactful well beyond the project’s lifecycle. A robust communication and outreach strategy will further enhance visibility and encourage international cooperation and synergies with related initiatives.

ARCOE is committed to shaping vibrant, inclusive, and future-ready research careers—empowering the next generation of talent and strengthening the European research and innovation ecosystem.
