REPower

Renewable Energy Vocational Training Program for Renewable Energy Technologies

Objective

REPower modernises vocational education for the renewable energy sector by aligning training with real labour-market needs in solar, wind, and biogas. The project equips students and trainers with sector-relevant competencies while embedding green skills and environmental awareness throughout the curriculum.

To drive this shift at scale, REPower combines an innovative, modular curriculum with VR/AR-supported learning, a multilingual digital platform for open access, and EQF-aligned recognition of learning. Joint staff training, local pilots, and close collaboration with industry ensure content stays practical, engaging, and future-proof.

Results

  • Three-module curriculum on solar, wind, and biogas (theory, hands-on guides, lesson plans, and assessment tools).
  • VR/AR-supported learning package (simulations, interactive videos, quizzes) to make complex processes learnable through practice.
  • REPower digital platform providing multilingual, open-access materials for teachers and students across Europe.
  • EQF-compliant certification pathways documenting skills of trainers and students to boost employability.
  • Pilots in vocational schools and sector-alignment workshops with at least 30 stakeholders to validate and refine content.
  • Guides for trainers and learners to support classroom delivery and self-directed study.
  • Student innovation activities (e.g., competitions/entrepreneurship ideas) to foster creativity and real-world problem solving.
