A Whole-School Approach to Digital Well-Being

GLITTER (“Strengthening learners’ digital well-being using effective teaching practices and digital environments”) is a three-year initiative that pioneers an innovative, evidence-informed whole-school approach to digital well-being. The project aims to develop, test, and refine practical tools that promote healthier digital environments for learners at the primary, lower, and upper secondary levels.

Consortium Partners Driving Change

The GLITTER consortium brings together:

Together, these partners will pilot the GLITTER methodology in 20 schools across the four EU countries, focusing on real-world applications and sustainable impact.

Project Objectives and Impact

GLITTER is designed around five core objectives:

  • Identify and analyze best practices that support digital well-being.
  • Develop a coherent whole-school framework to integrate digital well-being into teaching practices.
  • Pilot and evaluate practical instruments in diverse educational settings.
  • Formulate policy recommendations for broader EU-level impact.
  • Enhance visibility and dissemination of project outcomes for long-term adoption.
Shaping the Future of Education

GLITTER aims to empower schools, educators, and policymakers with the knowledge and tools needed to create safe, inclusive, and supportive digital learning environments. By addressing digital well-being holistically, the project ensures that learners can thrive both academically and emotionally in today’s digital world.
